Ideal recently spent a very sunny summer day photographing and filming our latest furniture installations at the University of Minnesota on the Minneapolis and Saint Paul campuses. We hope you spend some time with the case study here. The day was so nice that we did not want to miss taking a few pictures of the place that has been such a great partner to our firm over the years, voting us Minority Supplier of Year for five straight years from 2015-2020.
As we mentioned in our case study, installing new furniture in a historic University setting requires a special sensitivity to tradition. While pictures of the University often depict its iconographic Frank Gehry-designed Weisman Art Museum, or perhaps the hulking “brutalist school” Malcom Moos Health Sciences building, there are many other beautiful buildings at the University. As you stroll around the campus, you will notice the blend of modernity and tradition.
Depicted here are many of the U of M buildings that are protected architecturally and remain legacy examples of the Neo-Classical style of architecture that pervades the campus.
