Together, the team curated and installed exquisite yet functional furnishings designed to support musical exploration, collaboration, and learning. The approach was intentional: to create an environment that feels both elevated and welcoming, adding a luxurious, lyrical quality to a space where artistry thrives.

Walker West was founded in 1988 when musicians Rev. Carl Walker and Grant West joined forces to provide piano instruction to children in the Summit University neighborhood of St. Paul. Beginning with one rented piano in the upstairs of a duplex, the founders pursued a vision that extended far beyond teaching a single style of music. Today, the school is especially well known for its instruction in jazz, gospel, and other improvisational traditions. Central to their mission has always been the belief that music education should be accessible to any student who wishes to learn. Over the decades, Walker West has touched the lives of thousands of students, many of whom have gone on to study at top music conservatories and perform professionally.With four decades of experience spanning manufacturing, project management, and national sales, Rick Harris founded Ideal Workplace Solutions to bridge the gap in the mid-market sector. We provide the high-touch service of a boutique firm with the procurement power and logistical reach of a national dealer.
